KCVT has achieved a unique feat of being the only PVT ITI whose 19 students got selected in a Government Organisation in this sector of trades. 19 of our students (KCVTians) got selected for the post of Stenographers in the recently declared selection results of the Honourable High Court on 30th January 2024. They were selected in the District and Sessions Judge Court & The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in the various districts of Assam for the post of Stenographers. We are immensely proud of our students and we thank them for carrying forward the LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE. To celebrate the cause, a felicitation ceremony was organised at KCVT premises. The felicitation of the students were done in the august presence of Smti. Mousumi Sen, Joint Director of Craftsmen Training, DECT Govt of Assam, Shri. Ranjit Borthakur, Deputy Director of Craftsmen Training, DECT, Govt of Assam.

It was an absolute honour and privilege for us to welcome our esteemed Guest, Mr. Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Former Head, Centre for Entrepreneurship Education, Faculty Member and Senior Consultant at Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati. Sir, shared his vision about entrepreneurship and skill development. We are thankful to Sarmah Sir for his in-depth analysis and valued guidance.

It was a memorable and eventful day for Kcvt Kamrupcollegeof Vocationaltrg as Prof. Dr.Devadas Bhorali, formerly Head and Dean,Department of Commerce, Gauhati University and currently Chairman, Kamrup College of Vocational Training was felicitated today with the prestigious BANIJYA PRABHAKAR AWARD 2024 for his remarkable contributions in the field of Commerce education in India. The felicitation ceremony was organised by Indian Accounting Association in association with M.Com, BBA, accountancy department of Gauhati Commerce College and GCC Alumni Association (ALCOM) at Gauhati Commerce College.

The award was presented by Dr.Bhupathi Kumar Das, President GB GCC, Dr. Amarendra Talukdar Principal i/c, GCC , Prof. Sujit Sikidar, Dr. Homeswar Kalita, Members from ALCOM, Dr. Sanjib Raj Director i/c Assam Institute of Management, Dr. G.G. Banik, Associate Professor, Department of Accountancy, GCC.

We the staff and faculty members of KCVT would like to offer our sincere gratitude to the organisers, faculty and staff members of GCC, Indian Accounting Association and the Alumni Association (ALCOM) for the well planned, well organised and well thought of ceremony.
